Local businesses are invited to compete for the chance to win one of 10 wheelchair ramps to improve access to their premises. Who wins will be decided by the public.

The London-based social enterprise Mapping for Change is inviting communities from around the UK to help their towns and cities become more wheelchair friendly. They are calling on you to ‘Ramp it Up!’ and have launched an exciting competition to encourage your local business owners to get on board.

There are more than 200 reasons to be excited for the return of Disabled Access Day

Disabled Access Day 2016 returns to the UK and to locations worldwide this Saturday for a day of exploring accessible venues and discovering what’s out there. The annual event which is in its second year will take place on 12th March and hopes to encourage disabled people, their families and friends to choose new places to visit and to gain confidence in accessing unfamiliar venues that have piqued their curiosity.
